Ga'abi - Monster Project

Monster Project
Inspired by a story told to me by my eight-year-old cousin, Ga'abi the goop monster was born.
Monster Story: Ga'abi is a goop monster. He was raised on a farm where he loved caring for the animals and picking flowers, but he always dreamed of studying medicine. He wants to go be a doctor, but for now he is interning as a first responder in the big city. In this world, the spirits of creatures are deeply connected to the physical world. Families will adorn loved ones with comfortable pillows and perfumes when they are nearing the end of their lives and bring them to large, open areas – such as fields or rooftops. If someone is dying in an inconvenient place, their spirit won’t leave, and they will stay alive until their body is in an easier place for their spirit to pass on. Therefore, people cannot die in confined spaces or sticky places. Ga'abi’s species is ideal for showing up at a scene of injury, getting the patients sticky, and giving the doctors more time to come tend to the victims.

Ga'abi is a little forgetful, and he struggles to keep up with simple tasks and responsibilities (such as forgetting his medical badge or stopping to pick flowers on the way to an emergency). But he has a good heart, and he’s trying his best at where he’s at for now. He’ll get to med school someday.
